We acknowledge that the COVID-19 global pandemic continues to be a great deal of concern.

Despite the challenging times, we are committed to providing world-class Agile training. But more than that, we are people. People who believe that technology can be of great help in a moment like this. Something that can keep people busy and engaged.

We’re now channeling our 15 years of expertise into an entirely new business model. As of March 17, BERTEIG is now 100% virtual.

From now and for the foreseeable future, all of our Learning Events will be delivered online.

This is a big change and we know you have questions.

What do I get out of Virtual Learning?

Well, first off, unlike in-person training, there’s no commute, no traffic, and no face mask, hand sanitizer or social distancing necessary. Virtual classrooms are safe and secure, yet social environments.

But there are more benefits beyond that.

Learn from anywhere.

You can easily log on to the virtual classroom from anywhere. Maybe you’re self-isolating at home. Maybe you’re in a park. What about a hotel room?

Wherever you find yourself in the world, you have the freedom and flexibility to learn.

Stay focused.

You have to be disciplined, in spite of all the temptations and distractions around you. In the Virtual Classroom, you are accountable to yourself. And that keeps you focused on learning. Netflix can wait.

Better communication.

You avoid being interrupted by other team-members. You can also take your time to formulate your ideas and post them whenever you are inspired to do so – without being afraid of interrupting someone.

Improved digital skills.

During this pandemic, many businesses are switching to working virtually to save on office expenses and to ensure the health and safety of their employees. Universities and colleges are switching to online classes. Elementary and secondary schools are exploring them as an option too.

Get prepared to work and study in a new digital environment!

What’s the downside?

Just one: the lack of direct, in-person contact. Unfortunately, this is how things are going to be for a while in this chaotic state of the world.

But, life still goes on. And with BERTEIG Virtual Learning, you still get the same internationally-recognized certifications paired with our 15 years of Agile expertise.

Even in tough times, knowledge find away. Learning knows no bounds.

Just like you, our business has had to adapt. But fortunately, there are several great tools to make virtual work easy, collaborative and productive.

Here are some of the tools we love and use, both for our own collaboration and to deliver Virtual Learning Events.

Zoom

Zoom allows you to get on camera and have face-to face conversations with colleauges  and teams anytime from anywhere.

Trello

Trello is a great tool for visualizing workflow within your team, and to follow up promptly.

Miro

Miro is what we’re using to deliver our Virtual Learning Events. But it’s also great for building projects and visual collaboration.

Slack

Slack is an effective company chat tool. We barely use email anymore. Slack allows you to make announcements to your team members, share your on-going concerns, and follow up on each other’s comments.

Change is good.

Yes, these are hard times. And there’s a challenging road ahead.

But, there is an opportunity here. With an Agile mindset and some new approaches to working, we can stay ahead of the crisis, maintain our productivity and adjust to rapidly changing realities.
